A new study from the University of Jyväskylä in Finland finds men and women who healthy states of mental well-being in their 40s are more likely to be physical fit in their 50s. Take a moment to learn about this study as part of your continuing education on health and wellness. You may find some inspiration for your new Phentermine 37.5mg regimen.
Three Dimensions
Mental well-being was studied through three dimensions: psychological, social, and emotional. Psychological concerns personal growth experiences and life purpose, while social dimensions involves relationships with friends, family, and the community. Emotional well-being refers to overall life satisfaction and positive feelings. Mental well-being has shown to predict physical fitness levels later in life.
“Although exercise did not predict later mental well-being or subjective health in this study, exercise is important for current mental well-being and health,” says Dr. Tiia Kekäläinen from the Gerontology
Research Center and Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
Types Of Physical Activities & Their Emotional Benefits
Different types of physical activities have different effects on people in their 50s according to the study. Walking, for example, is related to emotional well-being while hiking is associated with social well-being as well as endurance training. The latter was found to be true in men only.
“It is possible that rambling in nature [hiking] means different things for men and women. For example, it correlated with the frequency of vigorous exercise only among men,” Kekäläinen says.
Exercise & Mental Health
It is never too late to start exercising and enjoy the mental, emotional, and physical benefits it provides. Exercising as part of a weight loss regimen, for example, benefits emotional and mental health because it boosts confidence and self-esteem. Regular exercise also helps Phentermine pills work as effectively as possible.
