Swapping traditional desserts for healthier options is one of the best ways to combat the dessert problem.

“If you have a sweet tooth, think about the area where you tend to overdo it,” Meltzer Warren says.

For example, you could switch your nightly dessert for fruit or or herbal tea. When you do indulge, really savor that cake or ice cream and make certain it is a high-quality, delicious option. You don’t want to wait all week to enjoy a cookie and find you do not even like it!
